Any dog is welcome at Bark-Island.  We aim to cater for all breeds, all sizes.

We want to be considered a safe space for dog-reactive dogs, noise reactive dogs, boisterous dogs, dogs that don’t know the meaning of the words “recall”, “come” or “here”.

Got a drooling dog?  We love to see your clobber covered in slobber!

Got a hairy dog?  The birds will love using excess fur for their nests!

Got a barker? We love the sound of a woof in the morning!

Got a runner? We’ve got a fence that will stop them running a marathon!

In front of the gates to the dog field there is enough space to comfortably fit three small cars. (Please do not drive your cars through the gates into the field).  Additional parking for up to two cars is available in the main parking area for Pat Stewart Tuition.  For more cars, please contact us at wo**@*********nd.com

Our secure dog field fencing is 6ft all the way around. The world record for the highest a dog has ever jumped is held by a very athletic greyhound who once jumped 6’29”, so we think we’ve got you covered!

Yes, once you book the field, it is for your sole use and no one else can enter!

We are open from 7am – 9pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year, 10 years a decade. We’re here for you and in the words of Ronnie Barker, we’re ‘open all hours’.  During winter months, you may wish to bring a torch but we do have lighting.

We take online bookings only via our bookings page here. Payment is required at the time of booking.

Please contact wo**@*********nd.com to cancel or change a booking.  No refund will be given for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice.  This is due to exceptional demand; we want to ensure that everyone has fair access to our field.  We hope you understand that we incur costs and that late cancellations affect our staff and our guests.

We have a one acre field and we can allow up to 20 dogs at one time, allowing everyone enough space.

A 55 minute booking of our field is £10 and a 25 minute booking is £6; this is for up to 4 dogs. For bookings for a larger amount of dogs and different timings, please adjust the time and numbers on the booking page.  If you have any issues, you can contact us at wo**@*********nd.com for assistance.

Please note, we are committed to only working with positive, reward based trainers and won’t put our name to aversive trainers or so-called ‘balanced’ trainers.

Well, wouldn’t we all?  Sadly, we live and are located in the unforgiving British climate.  We can’t legislate for it, and let’s face it, our dogs still like a walk in all weather.  What do you do about walking your dog if it’s raining?  Get wet!  We have a semi-shelter in the field, but we always advise bringing appropriate clothing and footwear for you and your dog.

Please note, our field may be muddy in places during periods of wet weather.
